What this tool does
Extract Text from PDF pulls the readable text out of a PDF and gives it back as plain text you can copy or download, with no retyping and no screenshots. It reads the file in your browser, gathers the text it finds, and shows you the result before you save it. Any PDF built from real text, like reports, contracts, invoices, and exported documents, comes straight through; a scanned, image-only PDF has no text layer to pull from.
How it works
Drop in a PDF and the tool scans it locally and assembles the text it finds. Review it in the preview, then copy it to your clipboard or download a .txt file. The PDF never leaves your device, so there is no upload and no server.
